The Art of Attraction
Decision expected in November

The United Church of Canada is considering a new location for its national home office, and Winnipeg is a prime candidate. Our community has rallied to put together a spirited and compelling argument for a Winnipeg relocation that is going to be hard to beat!
The General Council Offices serve the church at the national level and is currently located in Toronto. There are approximately 150 staff members in the office on a typical day. Responding to a Request for Proposal for office occupancy alternatives deadline on August 1, we immediately set out to differentiate a Winnipeg proposal from any other interested jurisdictions.
The collarboration on this project from so many facets of our city has really been amazing and it shows in the dynamic online presentation that is publicly available to United Church members. Check it out at www.uccwelcometowinnipeg.com and let us know what you think in our comments section.
The UCC's decision on a new national home office is anticipated to be made in November, 2011.
The Y!W team of Jon Mead, Business Development Professional, and Desiree Mendoza, Business Development Coordinator, combined to lead the charge on this exciting opportunity for Winnipeg.
