Prior to the acquisition, Tell Us About Us was already a leader in customer experience measurement and was Canada’s largest customer intelligence solutions provider. Yes! Winnipeg, along with collaborating organizations ICTAM and MCCA, were able to provide Market Force with data and information about the Winnipeg market, connect them with government assistance programs, and introduce their senior leadership into the Winnipeg business community.
Spa Nordik

Nordik Nature Spa, one of Canada’s premier relaxations spas providing customers with a unique experience focused on health and nature, is expanding to Winnipeg by opening a second Canadian location. This attraction is the result of a highly successful collaborative effort lead by the ANIM team (l’agence nationale et international du Manitoba) and supported by Yes! Winnipeg as well as the City of Winnipeg. It will bring approximately $6 Million of capital investment and when operating at full capacity, 60 full time, and 50 contract positions to Winnipeg. This exciting new concept will feature a pool, hot tub, dry and wet sauna, as well as exemplary cuisine available to spa visitors and will be Western Canada’s only authentic outdoor therapeutic Scandinavian spa. The facility will be located on the Crescent Drive Golf Course grounds and will be open for both residents and tourists alike year round.
ALT Hotel

Yes! Winnipeg is pleased to have participated in the attraction process that has resulted in Groupe Germain Hospitality announcing they will build one of their ALT Hotels in the heart of Winnipeg's Sports Hospitality Entertainment District. Groupe Germain became interested in the Winnipeg market in 2007 and representatives from Yes! Winnipeg, Agence Nationale et Internationale du Manitoba, and the City of Winnipeg flew down to Quebec to view the ALT Hotel product and discuss the local fit for this project in 2009. Groupe Germain is renowned for the impeccable hospitality and style it brings to its Boutique-hotels. The Winnipeg ALT Hotel will feature 154 rooms and is expected to create 70 jobs.
Superior Finishes Inc.

Yes! Winnipeg is excited to announce the expansion of Superior Finishes Inc. to a new 30,000 square foot facility along Paramount Road in Winnipeg. The family-owned and operated manufacturer of top quality industrial finishes will see the creation of up to 20 jobs. Yes! Winnipeg played an integral role in assisting Superior Finishes Inc. in its expansion efforts by arranging meetings with representatives from provincial government departments, particularly Entrepreneurship, Training and Trade and Labour and Immigration; the City of Winnipeg; and several local commercial real estate companies. The expansion plans of Superior Finishes will be assisted by an $800,000 Manitoba Industrial Opportunities Program (MIOP) loan from the province. Superior Finishes, Inc. will invest approximately $3 million this year and their expansion will create a number of new technical positions.
HD-Petroleum

HD-Petroleum recycles waste motor oils and refuse petroleum products that are received from provincial collection agencies, and through a proven refinery process produces high quality market ready diesel fuel. This new refinery will produce one million litres of diesel fuel in its first year of operation and this innovative facility is expected to become the research and development showcase for new technologies in fuel waste recycling developed by HD-Petroleum. With assistance from Yes! Winnipeg HD-Petroleum was able to create 15 new jobs. We were able to offer assistance in securing a major customer contract and meetings with the Provincial personnel. We will continue to assist them with their future growth to meet increasing international demand for their innovative type of refinery.

We are pleased to announce Whirlwind Media Group Inc. as another success story for Winnipeg! Whirlwind is a local media and communications firm that has developed an innovative 3D web technology (patent pending) used to showcase the products and services of organizations across a number of industries. Whirlwind was referred to the Yes! Winnipeg team by the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, and also received assistance from the Economic Development Council for Manitoba Bilingual Municipalities (CDEM). After Yes! Winnipeg and CDEM provided ideas and new connections, the company has grown from 2 to 15 employees as of February 2011, and there is the potential to hire more employees in the next few months as the company continues to expand.
